About ST Imaging, a Microfilm Scanner Manufacturer

ST Imaging is a leading worldwide manufacturer and distributor of microfilm scanners and other micrographic collection scanning solutions. Founded in 1989, the company was acquired in 1999 by Digital Check Corp, a provider of distributed-capture check scanners for the financial industry. In 2004 ST introduced the first digital micrographic system, the ST200 microfilm scanner and viewer, replacing the old reader/printers and changing the way microfilm customers look at and shared film.

In 2010, ST Imaging introduced the next generation ST ViewScan library microfilm scanner. It incorporated the latest camera and software technologies to enhance the viewing and scanning process for patrons while dramatically reducing the size of the scanner.

In June 2013, ST imaging introduced the all new ViewScan II with a bold new look and brand new optics and electronics to deliver the best user experience and images in the industry.

Once again, ST Imaging raises the bar on digital microfilm scanners with the release of the ST ViewScan 4 at the 2019 ALA Annual Conference. Equipped with an industry leading 18 megapixel image sensor and USB 3.0 connection the ST ViewScan 4 is the most technologically advanced microform scanner available today. Combining the increased scanning capabilities and the simple, easy to learn software, the ST ViewScan 4 is the ideal scanner for libraries, governments and businesses alike.

The company manufactures and distributes collection scanning solutions that are available worldwide through a network of Authorized Resellers and are supported by ST Imaging’s comprehensive fulfillment, training, support, warranty and repair services.

ST Imaging’s office and manufacturing facilities are located in the Chicago area.
